When a global events and publishing group moved its 400 London head office staff, it was more than an office move.

In one weekend, UBM transitioned from a traditional office of pens and paper, a desk for everyone and insufficient, poorly equipped meeting rooms to a state-of-the-art agile working culture.

The new culture relies on communication and collaboration technologies, with interactive touch screen desk booking stations, online room booking and a whole array of different collaborative spaces packed with video conferencing, interactive touch and room control.

It could have been a nightmare with intimidated staff faced with seven floors of unfamiliar technology and an IT support team struggling to cope with demand.

But UBM’s successful came from a year long change management plan to implement their business transformation, in which driving user adoption was an essential part.
